Registering your children for this 6-week session.
Each class is 45 minutes long, at the same time each week from the week of June 9th through the week of July 14th.
Currently, we have classes on the following*:
· Mondays at 10am (taught by Catharine)
· Wednesdays at 6pm (taught by Leah)
· Thursdays at 6pm (taught by Catharine)
· Saturdays at 11am (taught by Leah)
*(The link to signup for registration is live and the classes could fill at anytime. Availability is first come, first serve. Thus, we make no guarantees that the opening listed above will all still be available when you are given access to the signup page.)
All of the classes are held in the Small Activities Room (SAR) at the North Campus, located at 2916 Northgate Drive.
This Summer session also includes a songbook and access to a music app (and a CD if you’d like).
The tuition information is as follows:
· $115.00 for your 1st child over the age of 7 months.
· Each sibling over the age of 7 months may also attend the class for $65.
· If your only child attending is under 7 months, the tuition is $84.
· Any sibling under the age of 7 months can attend for free.
There is also an annual registration fee of $25.
Tuition is due within two weeks of the day you make your reservation.

Founded in 1975, the Preucil School of Music is a nonprofit community music school rooted in the Suzuki philosophy, offering instruction from early childhood through advanced levels. We are committed to nurturing ability and character through excellence in music education in a family-centered learning environment. Our programs serve hundreds of families annually and include private instruction, group classes, ensembles, early childhood music, and community outreach.
Position Summary
The Fund Development Coordinator will lead efforts to grow the Preucil School of Music’s donor base and build long-term fundraising systems. This new, half-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work from a strong foundation of community goodwill and engaged supporters. The ideal candidate is a skilled relationship-builder — someone who enjoys connecting with donors and community members and brings energy, empathy, and professionalism to their work.
This role is designed for a mission-driven professional who is eager to shape a development program and grow with the organization. Some administrative support is available to assist with data entry, mailings, and event logistics. The position has strong potential to expand into a full-time role after 1-2 years.

50th Golden Anniversary Celebration, Announcements, Preucil School of MusicThere are still several opportunities to experience performances to celebrate Preucil School’s 50th Anniversary. Each performance is free and open to the public.
Please mark your calendars and make an effort to attend some or all of these events.
1) A continuation of the Alumni & Friends Concert Series, Preucil Alum and pianist, Orion Weiss takes the stage at The Englert Theatre, Saturday, March 8 at 7:30pm. The New York Times calls him a “brilliant pianist”. Orion Weiss has performed with all the major orchestras of North America, and dazzled audiences worldwide as a recitalist and chamber musician. This is a performance you will not want to miss.

2) Preucil School of Music’s Orchestra Festival showcases six orchestras of students aged seven through eighteen. The concert is free and open to the public. Please join us at City High’s Opstad Auditorium on Tuesday, March 11 for this special evening of music!

3) Winter Chamber Concert is the culmination or our 10-14 week Winter Chamber Program, featuring chamber groups with intermediate to advanced highschool players. For fans of chamber music this will be a delightful performance at 4:30 pm at Wilson Auditorium at Preucil Main Campus

4) Our Junior and Senior Cello Choirs will have their final performance of the school year at their Spring Concert Saturday, April 12th at 1:30pm in Walder Hall at Preucil North Campus.

50th Golden Anniversary Celebration, Preucil School of MusicYou are invited to the 49th Annual String Concert and 50th Celebration held at Hancher Auditorium on Sunday, February 2 at 2:00 pm. This will be a momentous occasion as we celebrate the 50 year impact Preucil School of Music has made in the Iowa City Community. Alumni from all over the country will be in attendance, including over 75 playing alongside the Preucil School String Orchestra (P.S.S.O.) on a piece commissioned specifically for this event. This event is free and open to the public, so mark your calendars and come and join us for this special day.
