Whitney holds a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Cello Performance from the University of Louisville and DePaul University respectively. She also holds certification for K-12 music education in the state of Iowa. Whitney has played with many groups around the country, including Orchestra Iowa, the Des Moines Metro Opera, and the Britt Music Festival. She has training in both Suzuki and Orff Schulwerk methods and thoroughly enjoys the energy and spirit of young children.
She became a registered Music Together teacher in 2011 and has been teaching Music Together at the Preucil School since January 2012. Whitney joined the cello faculty in 2015.
