Welcome to Music Together®!

What the Program is All About

Music Together® is an innovative early childhood education success story nationwide and around the world! Since the Music Together program was founded in 1987, millions of children have been touched by its unique approach. Its classes came to the Preucil School in 2002, another step reflecting the School’s longstanding commitment to provide top-notch age-appropriate music enrichment for the youngest children.

Using the playful and carefully thought-out series of Music Together classes, specially trained teachers guide young children and the grownups who love them as they experience rhythm, song, culture and community. Each class brings together a small group of parents or caregivers and their children newborn to age 5, guided by a teacher who provides the music, tools and guidance for the 45-minute weekly session. The classes develop over a ten-week period, building a community of music-makers who grow together each week.

Families are provided with a songbook, CD and musical downloads containing all of the songs and chants from the 10-week session. We encourage parents to use these materials to play the music at home and sing with their children between classes. The result is a joyful, bonding, beneficial interaction with other children and exposure to the amazing world of music. All children are musical, and all grownups can support their child’s musical growth, even if they’ve never considered themselves musical.

“We believe that every child is musical, and that each child needs a stimulating, supportive music environment to enjoy the wonderful human capacity for music-making.” –retired Music Together Founder/Artistic Director Kenneth Guilmartin

Hahaha, love the photo! Thank you, Lauren, for being such an inspiration! (In fact, I had wanted to dress Arlo as Lauren, but when he refused, because THREE, I couldn’t let my handcrafted Mr. Pitch prop go to waste. 😂)

This is amazingly awesome!

Oh my gosh Suzanne. Dead.

This is AWESOME!!! 😍

Best ever!!!

Love this! 😍
